Where does Summer Springs deliver?

Summer Springs delivers bottled spring water and water coolers across many parts of regional NSW from our Dubbo, Tamworth and Armidale operations.

The fastest way to check your address is to use our delivery area checker. If your town or postcode is not listed, call 1300 654 001. We may already pass nearby or be able to help through a trusted regional supply partner.

How does regular bottled water delivery work?

We confirm the usual delivery schedule and bottle quantity for your address, then add you to the regular run. On delivery day, your driver leaves full bottles and collects the empty returnable bottles.

You do not need to place the same order each time. Your normal quantity can be adjusted as your usage changes.

Link to this answer
How often will my water be delivered?

Delivery frequency depends on the route serving your area and how much water you use. Common schedules include fortnightly, every four weeks and every eight weeks.

Your team will confirm the initial schedule when your account is established. It can be changed later if your needs increase or decrease.

Link to this answer
Do I need to be home or at work for every delivery?

Usually not. Many customers nominate a safe, accessible place where the driver can leave full bottles and collect empties.

Please tell us about locked gates, pets, alarms, loading docks, site inductions, restricted areas or any other access requirements so the run notes are clear.

Link to this answer
Is delivery free, and is there a minimum order?

Standard delivery is free within the Summer Springs service area.

Fortnightly delivery requires a usual quantity of at least four 15L bottles per delivery. If you need less than that, we may move the account to a monthly schedule. There is no annual bottle commitment, and there is no minimum bottle quantity for monthly or eight-weekly delivery.

Link to this answer
Can I change, pause or adjust my delivery?

Yes. You can increase or reduce your usual bottle quantity, update access instructions or pause deliveries while you are away or closed.

Usage often rises in summer and falls in winter. Our drivers and office team can adjust the service so it follows your actual needs.

Link to this answer
Can Summer Springs help if my location is outside your delivery area?

Often, yes. We have relationships with other spring water providers across NSW and may be able to connect you with a suitable local supplier.

For organisations with multiple locations, we may also be able to coordinate partner-supplied sites while Summer Springs remains the billing contact. Availability depends on the location and the partner network.

Link to this answer
Can I collect water from Summer Springs instead of having it delivered?

Yes. Walk-in collection is available from our Dubbo office at 15 Douglas Mawson Road, Dubbo, Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Dubbo is the only site that is consistently staffed for customer collection.

Link to this answer
Can Summer Springs supply multiple sites or work areas?

Yes. We can support one cooler in a small office, several coolers across a divided workplace, or deliveries to multiple business locations.

Tell us the addresses, approximate headcount and where people work. We can recommend a practical cooler and bottle setup, then confirm which sites fall within our routes or partner network.

Link to this answer
Can multiple locations be managed on one account?

Yes. Multiple locations can usually be placed on one account and statement, or separated into individual accounts where that better suits your business.

We can also work with purchase-order references and location-level delivery instructions where required.

Bottles, starter packs and billing

Bottle formats, starter quantities, payment methods, accounts and downloadable forms.

What size spring water bottles does Summer Springs supply?

Our main delivery product is the reusable 15L spring water bottle for coolers and dispensers.

We also supply 12L one-way bottles and smaller packaged-water formats, including 600mL and 1.5L bottles, for workplaces, events, accommodation, retail and other situations where returnable cooler bottles may not be practical.

Link to this answer
What is the difference between a 15L returnable bottle and a 12L one-way bottle?

The 15L bottle is designed for regular cooler delivery. Your empties are collected, washed, sanitised, inspected and refilled for another cycle.

The 12L bottle is a one-way format suited to locations where storing or exchanging empty returnable bottles is not practical.

Link to this answer
What happens to empty 15L bottles?

Keep them for your next scheduled delivery. Your driver collects the empties when the new full bottles arrive.

The bottles return to HACCP-certified facilities where they are washed, sanitised, inspected and refilled.

Link to this answer
How many 15L bottles should I start with?

It depends on the number of people, weather, physical activity, visitors and how often the water will also be used for tea, coffee or cooking.

A household or small office can begin with a sensible estimate, then increase or reduce the normal quantity after the first few deliveries. A typical ten-person office may begin around five bottles over four weeks, while a customer-facing or physically active workplace may need more.

Link to this answer
Are starter packs only for new customers?

Yes. Summer Springs starter packs are designed for new customers beginning a new regular service with a starter-pack offer.

The included starter bottles are not repeated on annual cooler-hire renewals and are not automatically included when an existing customer simply adds another cooler.

Link to this answer
Can a home choose a larger starter pack, or a business choose a smaller one?

Yes. Pack names describe the type of setup they commonly suit, not a restriction on who may order them.

A large household may prefer more bottles on hand, while a small consulting room, salon or office may only need a simple setup. Choose based on actual usage, available storage and delivery frequency.

Link to this answer
Can I add bottle storage or cooler accessories?

Yes. Bottle racks, cup holders, cups and other accessories can be purchased separately, and some larger starter packs already include storage or cup supplies.

Storage racks are particularly useful in staff kitchens, storerooms, garages, workshops and depots where spare bottles need to remain tidy and secure.

Link to this answer
Is spring water included with every cooler?

No. New-customer annual-hire starter offers include the number of 15L bottles shown on the relevant product page. Those bottles are a one-off welcome inclusion, not an annual inclusion.

Outright-purchase products, renewals and some short-term hire arrangements may not include water. Always check the specific product inclusions.

Link to this answer
How do domestic customers pay for regular delivery?

Domestic customers on a regular delivery route require an approved card authority using a Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card.

The card is processed within 72 hours after delivery, usually on the next business day.

Link to this answer
What if I do not want to use a card authority?

You can pre-order and pre-pay by phone or through the website. The paid order will then be delivered on the next scheduled delivery day for your area.

This is an order-by-order arrangement rather than an automatic regular-route account.

Link to this answer
What credit terms are available for commercial customers?

Approved commercial customers may be offered 7, 14 or 30-day credit terms calculated from the invoice date.

Credit accounts are subject to approval. Summer Springs does not offer terms calculated a set number of days after the end of the month.

Link to this answer
Can a business use purchase orders or different billing arrangements?

Yes. We can record purchase-order references, separate billing by location or combine several sites on one statement where appropriate.

Tell our team what your accounts process requires when the service is established.

Link to this answer
Where can I find the supply agreement and payment authority form?

The Summer Springs Supply Agreement and Credit Card & Direct Debit Authority Form are available on our Downloads & Resources page.

The payment authority accepts Visa or Mastercard credit and debit cards.

Link to this answer
How much does water delivery and cooler hire cost?

Standard route delivery is free within the service area. Current annual-hire starter rates are:

  • Standard cooler: $132 for the first year, then $165 per year
  • Contemporary cooler: $154 for the first year, then $176 per year
  • Premium bottom-load cooler: $192 for the first year, then $220 per year

Prices include GST. Starter bottles are a one-off inclusion for eligible new customers. Outright-purchase and water costs vary by product, so the current product page should be checked before ordering.

Link to this answer
How do returnable 15L bottles reduce single-use packaging?

A returnable 15L bottle is collected, cleaned, sanitised and refilled over repeated cycles instead of being discarded after one use.

For homes and workplaces that drink a lot of water, one cooler setup can replace a steady stream of small single-use bottles while also reducing shopping, carrying and storage.

Bottle-fed water coolers

Choosing a cooler, understanding hire and purchase, and getting support when something is not right.

What is the difference between a water cooler and a water dispenser?

The terms are often used interchangeably. A water dispenser releases drinking water, while “water cooler” usually describes a powered dispenser that chills the water and may also provide hot or room-temperature water.

Summer Springs supplies both powered coolers and non-electric dispensers such as Wonder Well ceramic units.

Link to this answer
Does a bottle-fed water cooler need plumbing?

No. A bottle-fed cooler draws water from the 15L bottle fitted to the unit.

It needs a level, suitable position and a standard power point, but it does not connect to the building’s water mains.

Link to this answer
What is the difference between Cool & Cold and Hot & Cold?

Cool & Cold provides chilled water and room-temperature water.

Hot & Cold provides chilled water and heated water suitable for tea, instant coffee and similar drinks. Hot-water models include a safety control, but the water is still very hot and should be used carefully.

Link to this answer
What is a bottom-load water cooler?

A bottom-load cooler stores the 15L bottle inside a cabinet at the base. A pump draws the water into the cooler, so the bottle does not need to be lifted and inverted overhead.

The hidden bottle also creates a cleaner appearance. An indicator light shows when the bottle needs to be replaced.

Link to this answer
How do the standard, contemporary, benchtop and bottom-load coolers differ?

The standard freestanding cooler is the straightforward, economical option. Contemporary models use a slimmer black-and-silver cabinet where appearance and footprint matter.

A benchtop unit saves floor space but needs a strong, stable bench. A bottom-load model hides the bottle and avoids lifting it overhead. Product brochures are available on our Downloads & Resources page.

Link to this answer
Which water cooler setup is best for my workplace?

Start with where people actually work and gather. A small office may only need one cooler, while a site split between reception, offices, a warehouse, workshop or lunchroom may need more than one.

For heavy use, choose a larger-capacity unit or spread demand across multiple coolers. Bottle usage can then be adjusted once real consumption becomes clear.

Link to this answer
Can I use my existing water cooler?

Yes. Summer Springs easy-spike 15L bottles are designed to fit the common bottle-fed cooler format and work with most compatible dispensers.

You can order spring water without hiring or purchasing another cooler from us.

Link to this answer
Should I hire or purchase a water cooler?

Annual hire keeps the upfront cost lower and includes ongoing support for normal-use faults. It suits customers who want a simple service without managing the equipment beyond routine care.

Outright purchase suits customers who prefer to own the asset and take responsibility for maintenance after the product warranty ends.

Link to this answer
What happens after the first year of cooler hire?

The discounted starter period ends and annual hire continues at the standard rate for that cooler until the arrangement is cancelled in line with the supply agreement.

The starter bottles are a one-off inclusion and are not supplied again at renewal. Current ongoing hire rates are shown on the relevant product pages.

Link to this answer
What happens if a hired cooler stops working?

Contact Summer Springs. If a hired cooler develops a fault through normal use, we arrange an equivalent replacement in line with the hire terms.

We generally do not carry out lengthy repairs at your premises. The practical approach is to swap the faulty unit so you have a working cooler again as quickly as the route allows.

Link to this answer
What support applies to a cooler purchased outright?

Purchased coolers include the product warranty stated on the product page, commonly one year for the bottle-fed models in our range.

After the warranty period, the owner is responsible for maintenance, repair and replacement.

Link to this answer
Can I buy a water cooler if Summer Springs does not deliver water to my area?

Yes. Selected coolers can be sent by courier outside the Summer Springs service area, with the freight charge shown on the product page.

Ongoing Summer Springs returnable-bottle delivery is limited to our own routes and approved partner arrangements, so customers elsewhere may need to source compatible bottles locally.

Link to this answer
Is the premium bottom-load cooler available in both white and black?

Yes. The BL25 bottom-load cooler is available in white and black satin finishes, subject to current stock and the product options shown online.

Link to this answer
How do I clean and look after a water cooler?

Keep the drip tray empty, wipe the taps and exterior regularly, and keep the bottle collar and spike area clean when changing bottles.

For the complete cleaning process and recommended frequency, use our Water Cooler Care & Troubleshooting guide. The printable care guide is also available in Downloads & Resources.

Link to this answer
What should I do if my cooler leaks, stops cooling or has slow water flow?

Start with the checks in our Water Cooler Care & Troubleshooting guide. It covers common leaks, temperature issues, slow flow, taste, odour and unusual noise.

Stop using and unplug the unit if there is an electrical concern, significant leak or anything that appears unsafe. Contact Summer Springs when the basic checks do not solve the problem.

Filtered mains-water coolers

Point-of-use filtration, installation requirements, servicing and choosing the right configuration.

What is a point-of-use water cooler?

A point-of-use, or POU, cooler connects directly to the property’s potable mains water supply.

The water is filtered at the point where it is dispensed, so there are no 15L bottles to lift, replace or store.

Link to this answer
What do the sediment and carbon filters remove?

The sediment filter captures suspended particles and sediment. The activated-carbon filter can reduce chlorine-related taste and odour, improving the taste and smell of potable mains water.

These systems are not water-disinfection units and should not be described as removing bacteria, viruses or every possible contaminant.

Link to this answer
Do Hot & Cold POU models provide instant hot water, and can it be used for tea or coffee?

The hot-water tank keeps water heated and ready to dispense, so there is no need to fill and boil a kettle for each drink.

Depending on the model, the output is approximately 84–89°C. It is suitable for tea and instant coffee, but it is not boiling water. Hot-water models include a safety tap.

Link to this answer
Do I need a plumber before a POU cooler is installed?

A licensed plumber is required if a new water outlet must be created or if a compliant pressure-limiting valve needs to be installed near the cooler location.

If a suitable outlet is already available, a plumber may not be required. Once the connection point is ready, a Summer Springs technician connects and sets up the filtration unit.

Link to this answer
What is included in POU cooler hire?

POU hire includes the cooler, approved sediment and carbon filtration, annual filter-cartridge replacement, a full service and clean every six months, and ongoing equipment support.

Normal-use faults are repaired or the unit is replaced in line with the hire terms. Plumbing work and electricity are not included.

Link to this answer
How often are POU filters changed and the unit serviced?

The sediment and carbon cartridges are normally replaced annually under the hire arrangement.

The unit also receives a full service and clean every six months.

Link to this answer
Can a POU cooler be connected to rainwater, bore water or tank water?

The standard Summer Springs POU systems are intended for connection to a potable mains water supply.

Rainwater, bore water and other private sources may require different testing and treatment. Contact Summer Springs before ordering if the proposed source is not potable mains water.

Link to this answer
Can reverse osmosis filtration be added to a Summer Springs POU cooler?

The units are configured for approved inline sediment and carbon filtration. They are not designed to be connected to an unapproved reverse-osmosis system.

Changing the approved filtration setup may affect performance, damage internal components or affect warranty coverage.

Link to this answer
Which POU cooler is best for a busy office?

The Standard series has the largest cold tank and strongest stated chilled-water output in the range, making it the best starting point for a busy shared kitchen or office.

The Premium series balances capacity with a more refined cabinet, while the Contemporary series suits smaller teams, lighter demand or spaces where a slim design matters.

Link to this answer
Should I choose a benchtop or freestanding POU cooler?

A benchtop model saves floor space but requires a suitable, strong bench near power and the water connection.

A freestanding model keeps the bench clear and can be positioned in a staff room, kitchen, reception area or other suitable location. Both still require access to power and an approved water outlet.

Link to this answer
What is the difference between filtered mains water and delivered spring water?

A POU cooler filters the building’s existing potable mains water and provides a continuous mains-fed supply without bottle storage.

The Summer Springs bottle service supplies natural spring water in reusable 15L bottles. It can be better where there is no convenient mains connection, the cooler needs to remain movable or the customer specifically prefers spring water.

Link to this answer
Where does Summer Springs install and service POU coolers?

POU installation and servicing is supported through our regional operations in Dubbo, Tamworth and Armidale.

Availability depends on the property location and our technician coverage. Check the service area or call 1300 654 001 before ordering.

FAQ category

Spring water, workplaces and Summer Springs

Water sources and testing, workplace responsibilities, and the business behind the blue bottles.

Is Summer Springs genuine spring water?

Yes. Summer Springs water is drawn from natural underground spring sources in regional NSW.

Spring water comes from a natural underground source. Products labelled “purified”, “pure” or “drinking water” may instead be highly treated water from another source, including municipal supply.

Link to this answer
Which spring source is in my bottle?

All 600mL, 1.5L and 12L one-way bottles come from our Riverina source.

Returnable 15L bottles are sourced by depot: Riverina for Dubbo, Central Coast for Tamworth and the Dorrigo Plateau for Armidale.

Link to this answer
Does Summer Springs add chlorine or fluoride?

No. Summer Springs does not add chlorine or fluoride to its spring water.

Treatment varies by source and uses physical filtration with non-chlorine disinfection methods such as ultraviolet light, silver-ion treatment or ozone.

Link to this answer
Is Summer Springs water independently tested, and who performs the testing?

Yes. Independent testing has been completed through the National Measurement Institute, the Australian Government’s national measurement authority, at laboratories accredited to ISO/IEC 17025.

Source and bottled water are tested regularly as part of ongoing quality controls. Full reports are available on request, and summary information is published on our Our Spring Water page.

Link to this answer
Is Summer Springs water tested for PFAS?

Yes. The spring sources have been screened for a suite of more than 30 PFAS compounds.

The published results were below the laboratory reporting limit, meaning none of the tested PFAS compounds were detected at or above that limit.

Link to this answer
Is Summer Springs water low in sodium?

Yes. Published source results show low sodium levels, approximately 7 to 21 mg/L depending on the spring source.

Link to this answer
Is Summer Springs water suitable for coffee machines, kettles and urns?

Summer Springs water is naturally soft and relatively low in dissolved minerals, with total dissolved solids generally around 70–90 ppm depending on the source.

That means it usually leaves less mineral scale than hard water. Equipment should still be cleaned and maintained according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Link to this answer
How are returnable bottles cleaned and refilled?

Returned 15L bottles are washed, sanitised, inspected and refilled through controlled processes at HACCP-certified facilities.

Bottles that do not pass inspection are removed from use.

Link to this answer
Does Summer Springs supply both homes and businesses?

Yes. We supply homes, offices, schools, clinics, salons, gyms, accommodation providers, hospitality venues, farms, workshops, depots and worksites across our delivery areas.

The setup can range from a single household dispenser to multiple coolers across several business locations.

Link to this answer
Does hiring a water cooler make a workplace WHS compliant?

Not by itself. Workplace duties involve providing adequate, safe and accessible drinking water and considering the work, location, hazards and needs of workers.

A cooler and regular bottle supply may form part of that approach, but the business remains responsible for its overall facilities and risk controls.

Link to this answer
When did Summer Springs begin, and was it previously a Neverfail distributor?

The underlying business began in Dubbo in 1993 as a Neverfail Spring Water distributor.

The Summer Springs brand was established later as the business developed its own regional identity, depots, team and service model.

Link to this answer
Is Summer Springs locally owned, and where is it based?

Yes. Summer Springs is owned by three regional families. Steve and Janelle, who founded the original Dubbo business, remain involved today.

The business operates from regional locations in Dubbo, Tamworth and Armidale.
