Source transparency

Where does the water come from?

The answer depends on the bottle format. Our smaller bottles and 12L one-way bottles come from the Riverina natural spring source. Returnable 15L bottles are filled from the spring assigned to the regional depot serving the customer. We source water from three regional NSW springs - Central Coast, Riverina, and Dorrigo Plateau, and there is no added chlorine or fluoride at any part of the Summer Springs process.

For our regular water cooler customers, an empty returnable bottle does not mean the end of its life cycle. It's the beginning of the next fill cycle.

    Full bottles arrive

    Your driver supplies full bottles on the scheduled delivery run for your area.

  2. 02

    Empties are collected

    Empty returnable bottles are exchanged when the next full bottles are delivered. We’ll create a delivery schedule to match your usage, to ensure that you never run out.

    Each bottle is cleaned

    All bottles are 100% sanitised and cleaned before refilling. We’re doing our bit to ensure that bottles are reused and you’re engaging a sustainable water provider.

    The bottle returns

    Automated filling minimises unnecessary handling before the bottle goes back into circulation.

Summer Springs publishes all information about spring sources, mineral profiles, treatment methods and independent testing so customers can see what sits behind the label.

All water testing has been completed through National Measurement Institute laboratories accredited to ISO/IEC 17025. Published results include minerals, heavy metals, agricultural and industrial contaminants and a suite of more than 30 PFAS compounds.

Is Summer Springs genuine spring water?

Yes. Summer Springs water is drawn from natural underground spring sources in regional NSW. It is not filtered municipal water relabelled as spring water.

What is the difference between 15L returnable and 12L one-way bottles?

The 15L bottle is designed for ongoing cooler delivery, exchanging the empty bottle on the delivery run. Empty bottles are collected, washed, sanitised and refilled. The 12L bottle is a one-way format for locations where it’s not possible to keep track of and exchange empty bottles.

Is chlorine or fluoride added to Summer Springs water?

No. Summer Springs does not add chlorine or fluoride. Physical filtration and non-chlorine disinfection methods are used according to the spring source and bottling process.

How do I know whether Summer Springs delivers to my address?
